Our dance studio is conveniently located in the central part of North York, and is open all year round on an on demand basis offering dance lessons and classes during Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall seasons.
Dance classes are offered on an On Demand basis where there is enough demand for these lessons for proposed class times. We use a special dance surface that can be place down and removed as needed in studios, and all scheduled Dance classes listed on our website for North York are on a proposed basis until they are confirmed.
All of our dance lessons and classes are specifically designed for beginners. These dance classes follow the nationally accredited dance school programs that is used all across Canada. Our dance lessons are taught in small dancer to teacher ratio classes to allow each student to get the attention that they need to progress in their dance abilities. Our Dance School offers three selections of age groups for classes in North York, Tots ages 3 to 5, Children ages 6 to 12 and for Adults.
For students that have already completed the beginners dance program or who have learned the basics in dance skills, we offer Junior Dance programs for those that are interesting in continuing on to progressing in their dance skills. These dance classes are offered by professional and experienced dance instructors in North York and are designed to introduce dancers to more advanced and specific dance techinques including Ballet, Jazz and Modern Dance.
We offer advanced dance programs for studentss that have completed the Junior Dance Program or that have joiined our dance studio and have shown to have dance background. These dance classes in North York are also ofcourse taught by the most experienced dance teachers. The Intermediate Dance Program is for dancers that would like to persue attending dance competitions and auditioning for specialty dance programs in education and productions.
1. Can my child wear their own clothes during dance lessons?
Yes, for Introduction to Dance classes students can wear anything that they are comfortable wearing inside. Students that are in the Junior and Intermediate dance programs will have some requirements as to what they need to wear during these dance classes.
2. Can parents partipate in the dance program?
During the tots dance classes, parents can assist their tots if they are there and would like to be involved.
3. Are there make up sessions for missed classes?
Yes. It is possible to book makeup dance lessons during the season that you have registered for on different days and times at the location that you have registered at in North York. This can be done be done in Member Services in your account for a small adminsitrative fee.
4. Can I get private dance lessons for my child?
Yes. It is possible to purchase additional private dance lessons during your program in your Member Services by logging into your account. Private dance lessons are subject to instructor availability.
5. How long will it take my child to learn to dance?
Generally it takes about a season for a student to be able to learn the basics of dance and get an idea of the activity. A second season is recommended to improve their foundational dance skills.
6. Do I have to buy any dance clothing to wear?
No, you can wear the clothes that you are or you child is comfortable wearing during Introduction to Dance lessons.
7. Do I have to be there during my child's dance lessons?
It is completely your decision whether or not you want to be there during your child's dance classes.
8. Do you have a phone number that we can call to ask questions?
We only provide customer service by e-mail if your question is not answered here or on the website. You can request a consultation by phone in Member Services by logging into your account for an adminsitrative fee. We encourage you to use the Member Services in your account to resolve your situation first.
9. Why was I charged a different fee from someone else I know in North York that regisistered for the same program?
There can be a variety of reasons why program fees differ, however we reserve the right to change program rates depending on the time that you register. The fee that you paid for a program is what you agreed to paying at the time of your registration.
10. How do the dance programs work?
We offer three main dance levels from Introduction to Junior and Intermediate. Each is available for different age groups and includes three main types of dance classes, ballet, jazz and modern dance.
All dance programs, prices and locations shown in North York are proposed and subject to change at any time. Dance programs are only confirmed when full payment is made from within your account. In order to create an account please select a dance program you are interested in registering for. Dance On Demand uses third party locations to provide dance lessons using temporary Glice dance floor installations. Therefore times and locations are subject to change depending on demand and availability.
Terms of Service:
All payments and fees are final with no refunds for Memberships, Rentals and Dance Programs. Credits and exchanges for future programs are possible prior to the start of any dance program.
